Turkey and Cheese Crescent Wrap
Some days, I forget to plan ahead for supper. Sure I think about it throughout the day, but then something else catches my attention and I completely forget to finish my meal plan. When distraction happens, I like to call it “shiny”.
Like when you’re about to go clean the bathroom, the you head off to check Facebook and forget to clean the bathroom….shiny! Something shiny and much more appealing caught your attention. And look at me now! Going on about “shiny” instead of telling you about my recipe. Anyway….
I looked in the fridge and saw a stack of lunch meat I had just couponed, along with some cheese singles, crescent rolls and Miracle Whip. I decided to toss it all together and see how it tasted. There was none left when we were finished, that’s how good it was!
- 1 tube of crescent rolls
- 6-7 oz of lunch meat(or go with more if you like)
- 4 cheese single slices
- 1/2 c Miracle Whip
Unroll crescent dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread the Miracle Whip in an even layer over the whole sheet of dough. Layer the lunch meat down the middle, the long way. Place the cheese slices on top of the lunch meat.
Starting just under the lunch meat, make outward slices in the crescent dough about 1 inch apart. Pull one slice over the top of your cheese and meat, alternating as you go to create a braided look.
Bake in a preheated 375F oven for 20-25 minutes, until nicely golden brown and is no longer doughy. Let it cool about 5 minutes, then slice.
I was provided with Miracle Whip for my recipe. All thoughts and opinions are my own! We’ve always been a Miracle Whip loving family!
