Exciting News From the North Pole! #Giveaway #Santa
St. Nick came the other night and left my boys stockings full of goodies. One item didn’t fit. Instead, he left them a note letting them know a package would be dropped off later by the Fed Ex man. It was a special delivery from Santa!!
They were so excited to see his note and couldn’t wait to find out what it could possibly be! To pass the time(and use it as a good excuse to rid ourselves of unused toys) we started cleaning the toy room.
The donate pile started off being huge! Until I discovered my 4 year old is a mini hoarder. He started taking toys off the pile to hide in a safe place. Pretty soon, the donate pile looked more like a junk pile. All that was in it was broken toys and garbage.
The dogs started barking and the Fed Ex truck drove away. The package had arrived! I quietly went out to bring it in and see what it was. In the box was a North Pole Communicator Interactive Microphone and Polar Explorer Goggles & Adventure Map!
I called the boys from the toy room to show them what had just arrived. I told them it was a microphone for us to call Santa. We would be able to talk with him or one of his elves. My 8 year old yelled, “Cool!” and my 4 year old looked at it skeptically. I could see his little brain thinking.
I asked if we should keep cleaning up the toy room, so we could call Santa and give him a good report. He slowly nodded his head. It renewed his energy to get back to donating and less hoarding(I found he was hiding the items he thought I was throwing away, or donating, in the bathroom. Not exactly where I thought I would find the bean bag chairs, which I had no intention of throwing away. I just needed them out of the toy room so we could keep sorting.).
As soon as we were done, we got our North Pole Communicator ready. There were some quick adjustments a parent needs to make to insure the communicator is functioning properly(instructions come in a sealed envelope). We were ready in just a few minutes.
My 8 year old turned the dial…on came Santa!! He asked the boys a few questions, then had hurry off. They were so excited to hear from him! They turned the dial again, but only got static. Santa is so busy, the boys only get one call a day. If they miss their call, they have to wait until the next day to try again.
We found a safe place for the North Pole Communicator and got out the Polar Explorer Goggles & Adventure Map. They started the adventure by unfolding the map. They took turns looking at the map through their special goggles. I even took a turn! It was really fun seeing the map pop out in 3D!
