Easy Caramel Apple Dip
One of the best things about fall is it being apple season! Each year, my boys help pick apples by my parents’ house for making pies, applesauce, pressing for cider and eating fresh. Along with this tradition is making the Caramel Apple Dip recipe from when I was a kid. It’s so easy and everyone loves it!
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/3 c packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- coarsely chopped peanuts(optional)
- apples-the amount will vary due to size. At my house, it will vary depending on how much dip you can load onto one slice!
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla on medium speed. Make sure to scrape down the sides often. I usually beat it for about 5 minutes total so the sugar is well incorporated.
Place the dip into a serving bowl and sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top. Or you can do what I like to do and just dive right in with my apple slices!
When I was a kid, I used to mix it all together by hand with a fork. We didn’t have a stand mixer back then and using the electric hand mixer could get messy. So I would muscle together this dip to share with my brothers. It was always worth it!
